Clay amphorae are a rudimentary tool, but in the right hands can produce extremely elegant wines. Such is the case with Tomislav Tomac and this Traminac from the Brisnica vineyard which spent six months fermenting in Georgian amphorae, and another 12 months in 2000L large oak casks. Bone dry, smooth yet expressive, and fresh with a gorgeous amber hue.
Great twist on a usually playful variety that was enriched with more serious notes.
