Prosciutto made from Mangulica pigs that are a breed on a free-range estate, fed with grains and greens exclusively (no soy and corn!). The meat is dried by solely utilising the natural wind with no help from industrial drying techniques.
This highly prized breed of pig is characterised by its unmistakable thick and curly hair, generally blond, or black and white, or more rarely, pink. It is a strong pig, which grows slowly in absolute freedom. Characterised by a very intense flavour, it literally melts in the mouth giving a sense of unique sweetness. Amazing!
Its meat is rich with omega3 fatty acids (beats fish) and is known as a “healthy fat”.
*We suggest eating it on its own and just letting it melt in your mouth with as little bread as possible. Only then will you discover the unique complexity of its flavor which is mind-blowing!
